Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas injured his hip in Denver's season-opening win Thursday against the Carolina Panthers.

Initial reports said Thomas was seeking a second opinion on the hip and that he could miss time. But Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak painted a little more hopeful picture Monday.

The injury occurred in the first quarter of Thursday's game. Thomas returned to action and caught four balls for 48 yards.

This is great news for rookie quarterback Trevor Siemian and the Broncos' offense. Thomas has recorded more than 1,300 yards receiving each of the last four seasons.
