Northbound commuters on South Santa Fe Drive will experience one lane traffic for a few months while Denver Water fixes some pipe.

A section of road just north of West Alameda Avenue between West Byers Place and West Bayaud Avenue will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, April 8.

Work to replace a nearly 100-year-old section of water pipe is expected to take two months.

Construction will typically occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., though some night work is expected.

The northbound I-25 highway entrance at the intersection of West Cedar Avenue and South Kalamath Street will be in the affected area.

Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project, according to a Denver Water news release.
