We'll start out pretty mild today -- relatively speaking -- with a high of 87 and a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
No such luck with cooling showers over the weekend, though. The NWS says the temperature will climb to a sunny 95 degrees on Saturday and 97 degrees on Sunday, with nothing but a breeze to give us a break.
And because of those wildfires in Fort Carson, New Mexico and Arizona, much of the Front Range is still under an ozone action alert today for “sensitive groups,”such as people with lung disease, older adults and children.
