Zeppelin Development officially broke ground Thursday on the latest addition to its RiNo Taxi community Flight.
The 140,000-square-foot green office project will be occupied by Boa Technology, a company that makes shoe closure systems. Eventually, they will be joined by like-minded businesses, Zeppelin said in a press release.
Designed by Dynia Architects, the space will include a solar array expected to offset about 20 percent of the energy that the building consumes. Plus, one of the city’s largest private green roofs has been planned for the space.
“We’re so excited to be part of this new space,” said Mark Soderberg, CEO of Boa Technology. “I don’t think there’s been a tenant-landlord relationship that I’m willing to talk about, these guys though, really feel like partners.”
“[The project has] obviously come a lot way,” said Kyle Zeppelin. “We’ve been backlogged for five years not being able to lease anything because we didn’t have any new inventory. All the new projects have opened full.”
“Just the vibe that we get from this place — the creativity, the mixed-use, the kind of people that are here — we’re really grateful to be a part of it,” Soderberg said.
