Ready your eyeballs, it's here.
For 12 days -- Nov. 2-13 -- the Denver Film Festival will show more than 250 films at the Sie Film Center, the Denver Pavilions and the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Around 55,000 tickets will be sold for short films, documentaries, blockbusters, music videos, panels and more.
It all kicks off tonight with a red carpet and screening of "La La Land," a modern musical starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. That will be followed by the opening night party at the Festival AnneX Building (the McNichols Building).
At the other end of the festival is a screening of "Jackie," starring Natalie Portman as Jacqueline Kennedy, and a closing party at the Denver Children's Museum.
But those marquee events are already sold out, so let's focus on everything in between.
There are still tickets available for more individual screenings than most people can reasonably attend (both due to work schedules and the health of your eyeballs). And it's not just weekday matinees that are open.
The Denver Film Festival Centerpiece, "Lion," is still selling tickets -- $35 for DFS members and $40 for non-members.. The screening is at 8 p.m. Friday at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
The fun Music Video Mixtape program is still open, too. The 94-minute showcase features videos from stars like Danny Brown and locals like Elephant Revival. It's showing twice, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Tickets are $12 for DFS members and $15 for non-members.
