Research from both Zillow and Estately suggests that Denver is more likely to see bidding wars than other major metro areas.
In fact, Estately researchers found that Denver was among the 15 major cities with the most home sales over listing price in January.
Last week, almost a third of the people who bought a home paid more than its asking price. The differences ranged from $100 extra to a full $31,000 more.

- 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 824 square feet
- Sold for $252,500, 9.78 percent above asking price
