Each year, on the last days of certain public pools' summer stints, dozens of dogs gather to get in on the fun that us humans have been enjoying all season.
For just two days this year, City and County of Denver Parks and Recreation lower the chlorine in two city pools and allow pawed pals in for Dog-a-Pool-ooza, the event where your sweeties can wreak havoc in the way their instincts demand. Sunday was the first of those two dates.
You still have time to participate. The next extravaganza is Sunday, August 27 at the Berkeley Park Pool (near Lakeside). It's five bucks per pup. There are two sessions, one from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a,m, and another from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
