Queue up that show everyone keeps telling you to watch. It's Rock 'n' Roll race weekend.
Let's get right down to business. The 5K is on Saturday. People start running at 9 a.m. and there's a one-hour time limit. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis as runners finish.
Here's a pretty chill map of the course:
Saturday's race will affect RTD bus routes 0, 6, 9, 10, 12, 16, 52 and 83L from 8 to 10:30 a.m., according to RTD.
The 10K and half-marathon are on Sunday. They will cause a much bigger mess.
Both races start at 7 a.m., and the routes overlap in downtown.
There's a four-hour limit on the half-marathon and, again, streets will reopen on a rolling basis and things wrap up.
Here's a terrifying-looking road closure map for Sunday.
And here's what Sunday's races will do to RTD service from 5:30 a.m. to about noon:
- Bus routes affected will be 0, 1, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 15L, 16, 19, 20, 24, 28, 32, 38, 43, 44, 48, 52, 83L and FF.
- Service on the 16th Street MallRide will be suspended between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., after which normal service will resume.
- On light rail, D and H Line trains will start and end at Theatre District/Convention Center Station between 7 a.m. and noon. Bus shuttles north of this station will not be provided due to street closures.
More information on detours and delays on each route can be found on RTD's Rider Alerts page.
