A motorcyclist died after hitting a guardrail on U.S. Highway 6

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Saturday morning on U.S. Highway 6, the Denver Post reports.

The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle when it hit a guardrail near Clear Creek Canyon.

The investigation into the accident closed part of U.S. Highway 6 for several hours. It just reopened, according to CDOT.
