What should Denver’s 16th Street Mall be paved with?

The granite pavers on the bus lanes on the otherwise pedestrian-only 16th Street Mall cost a lot to maintain, and the Regional Transportation District plans to replace them with another surface material.

There are two public meetings this week -- both on Thursday -- where you can see some options and let them know what you think.

RTD says the new surface should improve safety and make the mall shuttle service more reliable.

The meetings are scheduled from 12 to 1 p.m. and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the RTD Administrative Office, Rooms T&D, 1600 Blake St.
