The rest of the country currently knows Colorado Springs as a place where you can get stuck in an elevator with Donald Trump. But it's also the eighth-best city for national park lovers, according to Redfin.
Denver came in 12th because only Rocky Mountain National Park can be reached within a three-hour drive. Colorado Springs, by contrast, has access to both RMNP and the Great Sand Dunes.
Anyway, next time someone tells you how great all the outdoor activities here are, be sure to smugly tell them it's actually better in Colorado Springs. That's what lists are for right?
