At 603 feet, the new skyscraper, 1144 Fifteenth, will be taller than all but four buildings in Denver.
On a national scale, it's not that tall. Even Denver's tallest building, the 56-story, 714-foot Republic Plaza, isn't quite half as tall as America's tallest building, One World Trade Center in New York City.
Despite Denver's building boom, the country's tallest skyscrapers list is still dominated by New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston.
And our tallest building was built 32 years ago. No other structure has come close since.
The 40-story 1144 Fifteenth building is on track to meet its January 2018 completion date, James Roupp, vice president at the Chicago-based real estate company JLL, said Tuesday.
