Former Broncos QB Brock Osweiler throws interception on first pass with Texans

The Brock Osweiler era in Houston did not get off to a good start.

Osweiler, who spurned Denver to sign a four-year, $72 million deal with the Texans, $37 million of which was guaranteed, threw an interception of his very first throw with his new team.

Osweiler stared down wideout DeAndre Hopkins, and Bears cornerback Tracy Porter took advantage. The Bears then marched down the field to take a 7-0 lead.

Last season, Osweiler threw for 1,967 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions in eight games with Denver. His contract soaks up $12 million of the Texans' salary cap this year, per overthecap.com. Trevor Siemian's cap hit, meanwhile, is just $448, 196.
