Colorado, apparently, is where cyclists go after their careers are ruined by doping accusations.
First there was Floyd Landis, the Tour de France winner who is selling high-grade weed out of Leadville.
Now there's the Big Kahuna of people who generally aren't allowed to race bicycles for a living anymore: Lance Armstrong. Armstrong is putting together a new mountain-biking event that will launch on Sept. 18, the Aspen Times reports.
Armstrong's a part-time resident of Aspen, and his company has selected "some of the best trails in the upper Roaring Fork Valley" for the event, which is not a race, according to the Times.
I guess it makes sense that these guys would love Colorado. There's endless uphill and nobody cares about dope.
