The Broncos “Color Rush” uniforms are really, really orange — and they’re wearing the classic Broncos helmet.

The Denver Broncos will wear special uniforms Oct. 13 against the San Diego Chargers as part of the NFL's Color Rush initiative, where each team wears alternate outfits during their Thursday night game.

I hope you like orange.

OK, so that's a lot of orange. A lot. Frankly, it seems a little overpowering. But there is one redeeming thing about these jerseys: the helmets.

The Broncos wore a variation of these bad boys — with the horse poking through the big "D" — until 1996. Then in 1997, they switched over to  the angrier looking horse on the side of the helmet.

What a shame. These were great.
