East Colfax Avenue was shut down at Monaco Parkway this morning after a tire “fell from” a truck and struck a pedestrian, Denver police reported.

It’s unclear how exactly it happened, or whether the person was seriously injured. The intersection was reopened as of 7 a.m., according to KDVR.

Traffic reporter Lynne Ryan reported on Twitter that the tire fell from the back of the truck.

No further details were available as of 8 a.m.
