The 35th annual Great American Beer Festival kicks off in Denver this week, so for today’s chart of the week, we look at the more than 60 breweries in the Mile High City by neighborhood.

And we found the neighborhoods that remain, mysteriously, brewery-free.

Breweries from across the country face off at the festival in what one brewer called “the Super Bowl of beer.”

In Denver, you don’t have to travel far to find a high quality — and in some cases award-winning — glass of beer. (We’ve also got a list of unofficial events you can attend without GABF tickets.)

Five Points — which includes the RiNo area — has the most breweries with 16 spots, according to state licensing data from Sept. 3. That count includes Epic Brewing Co., Breckenridge Brewing and both Great Divide locations.

Sunnyside is the second most heavily populated area with five breweries.

Denver is home to most of the state’s craft brewers. Even so, more than half of Denver neighborhoods are still without a brewer, according to the data.
