The iconic "I voted" sticker tells the world we've survived the omnipresent ads, the heated discussions, the ridiculous Facebook posts and made it through yet another election cycle.
Wearing one is almost as validating as weighing in on the next leader of the free world and helping to shape the future of the state and country — almost.
The city of Denver knows what that sticker means to voters. That's why after the city ran out of its old supply, it designed a new sticker that shows off the Mile High city.
"We recently redesigned our 'I voted' stickers with the Denver skyline as we depleted our old stock," said city spokesman Alton Dillard. "We have ordered 160,000 (stickers) at a cost of $4,700."
That 160,000 includes 10,000 stickers for Spanish speakers that say "he votado."
The stickers are available at voter service and polling centers. But there's not even enough for half of the 397,378 Denver residents that were registered as active voters as of Wednesday.
"We have stickers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter that people can post to their social profiles," Dillard said. "We also have a Snapchat filter available at some 24-hour ballot drop-off boxes so they can get their sticker virtually.”
