There was a scary moment in the second quarter of the Denver Broncos' win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday at Sports Authority Field.

During Bradley Roby's pick-six, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon accidentally ran into Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. Phillips, 69, was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to the hospital.

Fortunately, it appears Phillips is OK. Phillips was released from the hospital Sunday night, the Broncos said, and he didn't suffer any serious injuries. This afternoon, Phillips tweeted that he was back at work.

Good for Phillips. The hit he took didn't look like fun.

Gordon was asked about the sequence after the game, and he was apologetic about it. Here's what he told Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post:

No harm done. The Broncos play the Oakland Raiders on Sunday in an AFC West showdown.
