It will be nearly 80 degrees today, but there's a good chance we'll see some flakes in Denver on Thursday, Nov. 17, and some accumulating snow in the mountains -- and we may see some more winter weather next week.
Thursday's weather in Denver should start with rain and then move to a wintry mix. The city has a 50 percent chance of snow starting early Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
However, the city likely won't get much accumulation, especially given how warm the ground is, according to Weather5280. Denver will see two inches, maximum, as one meteorologist told the Denver Post.
The mountains, though, are looking likely for some accumulation. Predictions range from 8 to 12 inches, depending whom you ask.
The Front Range and plains may also see high winds, which could make for dangerous traveling conditions on Thursday night, Weather5280 advises.
Another next week?
Temperatures will warm up over the weekend, but "another weather system is expected to develop early next week," according to NWS. It too may bring snow as it moves over the mountains and plains, likely on Tuesday, NWS forecasts.
