Happy Pride!
Each June, people and businesses across the country celebrate and honor the LGBTQIA+ community. Pride Month roots go back to the 1969 Stonewall riots, with the first Pride march in 1970. The marches eventually turned into a month-long pride celebration.
Denver pride celebrations are kicking off in full force this year, with markets, parades, races, brunches, festivals and cabaret. You’ll find these events and more below!
The month ends with Denver PrideFest on June 28. The annual celebration is taking place at a new location this year. Read more about this change here.
While most celebrations are taking place in June, Aurora’s pride event will be held on Aug. 29.
Whatever you do, have fun celebrating!
