Denver identifies five homicide victims from a violent Thanksgiving week

Denver's medical examiner has released the names of five people killed in and around Denver since Nov. 22. All of these cases have been found to be homicides.

Nov. 22: Lewis Easterday, 77, of Federal Heights, was stabbed to death at 13th Avenue and North Marion Street, near Cheesman Park.

Nov. 24: Luis Zamora-Ornelas, 20, of Aurora, was found shot to death on Thanksgiving morning in the 4300 block of Fillmore Street in northeastern Denver. He reportedly was shot in the street before crawling to a nearby house for help.

Nov. 26: Miguel Baray, 28, of Denver, was found with a fatal gunshot wound on the 3100 block of West Kentucky Avenue in Westwood on Saturday afternoon. He reportedly was shot while driving.

 Nov. 27: Sanghyuk Kim, 16, of Aurora, was found dead of a gunshot wound early Saturday morning on the 1300 block of South Bannock Street in Overland.

Rufino Perez, 54, was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds on the 5500 block of Carson Street in Montbello. He reportedly was shot early on Saturday morning.

Separately, three people were reported injured in a shooting near 38th Avenue and High Street on Saturday.
