Milo Yiannopoulos is banned from Twitter but welcome at CU Boulder

The Breitbart writer who was banned from Twitter after unleashing an army of racist trolls on Ghostbusters and SNL star Leslie Jones will be speaking at CU Boulder in January.

(Warning: There’s some offensive language below.)

The Daily Camera reports that Milo Yiannopoulos was invited by Turning Point USA, a student group that aims to “educate students about the importance of fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets.”

Yiannopoulos is a bit of a celebrity in “alt-right” circles. That movement mixes aspects of more mainstream conservatism with racism, white nationalism and populism. He’s the author of articles on the right-wing news site Breitbart about how women would be happier without birth control or washing machines. He also thinks America has a “Muslim problem.”

Yiannopoulos, who is gay, is on a speaking tour called “The Dangerous Faggot.” He’s in Boulder on Jan. 25.
