The Colorado State Patrol published this photo on Jan. 11, describing a crash near the Larkspur exit (as you can tell) on Interstate 25.

"The crash from our previous post involved a car and a highway sign," the patrol's Castle Rock office stated. Upon impact, the pole from that sign flew a reported 400 feet, driving "like a javelin" through the second sign.

The office has not mentioned any injuries or further details. We'll update with more information as we get it.

The world record for human javelin throwing is about 341 feet.
