Former Vice President Joe Biden is gearing up to tour the country, except this time, it won’t be for political reasons.
Biden will visit the Paramount Theatre on December 2 to promote his new book, “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose.”
The book describes Biden’s difficulties balancing a political career while recovering from the death of his son. It will be released November 14.
Biden’s son, Joseph Robinette Biden III, died in 2015 after a long fight with brain cancer.
“I hope my own story will strike a chord with other Americans who have walked the same path I have,” Biden said in a statement. “I have always been fortunate to have an incredible support system around me, and I understand how many people in this country go through far worse than I have, with far less support.”
Presale tickets for Biden’s American Promise Tour went on sale yesterday, but general ticket sales will be available to the public July 28. Altitude Tickets is also offering an opportunity for a VIP Ticket that comes with a meet and greet, a signed copy of Biden’s book and a photo opportunity.
