There’s a big, dumb gravel pit in the heart of Denver.

Right there, on the corner of one of our biggest streets and another one of our biggest streets.

I thought about looking up exactly how long it’s been a big, dumb gravel pit but I feel confident as an experienced journalist in saying it’s been literally forever.

It will not, ostensibly, be this way forever. But RTD and the city still haven’t decided what to do with it, so we should probably decide what to call it. Something punchy. Snappy. Pizzazzy.

Help us.

UPDATE:  We’ve combed through your submissions and narrowed it down to four choices.

Also, per terms and conditions, six of you will be launched into the sun.

The rest of you, please vote for your favorite now. We’ll announce the winner in our week-in-review newsletter tomorrow morning (Sept. 21).
