Common Grounds closed its doors last weekend, ending a run that’s lasted nearly three decades.

The Sunnyside location at 2139 West 44th Ave. had only been open since 2013, but mother-and-daughter owners Mary and Lisa Rogers have operated various versions of the beloved cafe since 1992, when the original was founded in West Highland.

Common Grounds closed its shop at 17th and Wazee streets in Lower Downtown in 2017.
