Film on the Rocks is back.

After two years of hosting socially distanced drive-in screenings, Denver Film is bringing its annual summer film series back to the Red Rocks amphitheater. Visitors will sit in the stands and watch films like Thor: Ragnarok, Dune, The Sandlot, The Greatest Showman and Summer of Soul, which will be projected onto the historic park’s massive outdoor screen.

Every year, Denver Film partners with Denver Arts & Venues to produce Film on the Rocks, an outdoor film series held at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. From 2020-2021, the series moved to one of the park’s parking lots and invited film lovers to attend watch films from their cars. This year marks the series’ return to its traditional, fully  in-amphitheater programming for the first time since the pandemic began.

Film on the Rocks screenings take place Mondays from June 13-August 15. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Guests will be treated to live performances by musical guests starting at 7 p.m., followed by an 8:30 film presentation. Performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale May 20 at 10 a.m. General admission tickets are $16, and VIP reserved seating tickets are $32.
