It's one thing to curate the music for a Denver nightclub on a Friday night.

It's another thing to craft a playlist when a sold out Empower Field at Mile High is cheering the Broncos on to a win on Sunday morning.

Local radio host and philanthropist DJ Squizzy Taylor, who was recently honored with his own official day in Denver, will have to balance both now that he's the new official DJ of the Denver Broncos.

"It's a dream come true coming from Denver, to be a part of the biggest organization," Taylor said. "It's 77,000 people. It doesn't get much bigger than this."

It's been an eventful few months for the longtime host of Hip Hop/R&B radio station, KS 107.5.

The self-proclaimed "Mayor of Denver" became part owner of nightclub TheLobby in October 2022, launched his Celebrate Life Foundation in December 2022, was honored with an official day by the Mayor, and jumped out of plane for his 34th birthday celebration in Hawaii.

Now he's ready to entertain the masses at Mile High when the Broncos are playing at home.

"I don't think there's anything in Colorado that brings the city together more than the Broncos," Taylor said. "The demographic is way bigger at a sporting event so the challenge is making sure everybody has fun. It's just being open to all genres of music and making sure it's a memorable moment for [everyone]."

Taylor said he's looking forward to introducing more hip hop into the stadium's playlists, including some of the city's local talent that he's been around for a majority of his entertainment career.

Let's hope a few fresh jams will turn fortunes around for the Broncos after a 5-12 season we all wish we could forget.
