The city of Denver will swear into office its 46th mayor in Mayor-Elect Mike Johnston and the incoming City Council on Monday, July 17.
The festivities will be carried out in two major events: an Inauguration Ceremony and the Denver Vibes Fest.
"Denver is a city full of talented, bold, and creative artists," said Denver Vibes chair Rep. Leslie Herod. "We're proud to kick off Mayor-Elect Johnston's administration with a showcase of everything Denver has to offer, including an incredible lineup of Colorado musicians and artists. Denver is a vibe, and we're so excited to put our vivid culture on full display throughout this celebration."
Here's a breakdown of what you need to know:
Inauguration Ceremony
The 2023 Denver Municipal Inauguration will take place in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Performing Arts Complex beginning at 10 a.m.
Denver elected officials, city council members and Mayor-Elect Mike Johnston will be sworn into office at the free in-person gathering.
Assistive listening devices and sign language interpreters will be provided. Attendees are advised to arrive early for security screenings.

Denver Vibes Fest
The festival will take place on Wynkoop Plaza at Denver Union Station beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.
The afternoon celebration will feature an extensive list of local vendors, food trucks, art and a lineup of Colorado musicians and artists.
Headlining musical acts include Isaac Slade, former lead vocalist of The Fray, Flobots, The Motet, Maddy O'Neal and The Reminders.
Other notable local vendors include It' s A Bodega, Little Saigon Business District, Westwood's Cultura Chocolate, Little Man Ice Cream Company, Be A Good Person, Green Spaces Denver, Lawrence & Larimer and Rocky Mountain Slices to name a few.
