Keanna Rosenburgh, the 17-year-old accused of shooting five people outside a bar in Denver's LoDo neighborhood in September, will now be tried as an adult.

The Denver District Attorney's office announced the move in a statement Thursday night, two days after Rosenburgh made her first appearance in court.

Rosenburgh faces 28 criminal counts, including seven counts of attempted murder and 15 counts of assault. She was initially charged as a juvenile.

The Sept. 16 shooting began after bar staff refused to let Rosenburgh into Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row on Market Street. Denver police said she returned shortly afterward to speak with security. As she walked away, she allegedly fired a gun in the direction of the bar, injuring five bystanders.

Rosenburgh fled the scene and remained at large for over a month. Denver police arrested her on Oct. 19 in Barstow, California with help from the FBI and local law enforcement.

Her next appearance in court is scheduled for Monday.
