AdventHealth Porter's emergency clinical services came back online at 7 a.m. Thursday morning, a welcome return for the hospital that was shut down after multiple boilers failed.

Starting Monday, Nov. 13, elective procedures will start again.

The hospital will ramp up into full swing through the holidays.

AdventHealth Porter now has three boilers in action -- two permanent operational boilers and one temporary one. They've all been running and tested for several days.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and other state agencies have worked with the hospital to ensure it's safe and ready to reopen.

Of the dozens of patients who had to leave after the boiler failed, most have been discharged home. Another 15 will return to AdventHealth Porter.

"Thanks to the incredible efforts of our collective team members, the process to reopen has been seamless. We thank them for their dedication, hard work, and collaboration," the hospital noted in a statement. "We are happy to reopen our doors to continue our legacy of providing outstanding care to our community."
