It's that time of year again - for nutcracker performances, colorful holiday light displays and a gaggle of local holiday markets taking place throughout the state.
Close your eyes and you might miss it, but Santa and the Grinch are slated to be all over Denver this coming weekend.
If you're looking for places to stroll with friends and family, here are a couple of holiday festivities worth checking out:
Denver Christkindlmarket at Civic Center Park
Location: 101 W. 14th Ave.
Date: Open daily until Dec. 23
The German-style holiday market is free and open to the public until Dec. 23. Enjoy both local and European craft and food vendors as well as other live entertainment for everyone. Feast on Bavarian-style pretzels, fresh smoked salmon, Knödel, or Nürnberger Sausages while you shop for holiday gifts from local Coloradoan, Europeans and international merchants.
The market is open Sunday through Wednesday, 11-7 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, 11-9 p.m.
Five Points Holiday Stroll
Location: 2401 Welton St.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 2-6 p.m.
Walk along the Welton Street corridor and enjoy singing carolers, holiday storytelling, sweet treats and warm drinks. At this annual stroll, there will also be photos with Santa or the Grinch.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to bring a pair of new, warm socks that will be donated to a local non-profit in exchange for a "Five Points Strollin' Guide" with access to treats and drinks from businesses on Welton Street.
Seedstock Brewery Holiday Market
Location: 3600 West Colfax Ave.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 4-7 p.m.
Check out local artists and makers at this West Colfax brewery's annual holiday market.
Mistletoe Market at Dairy Block
Location: 1800 Wazee St.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 12-5 p.m.
The Mistletoe Market hosted in the Dairy Block Alley will include a variety of local Colorado vendors, live carolers, holiday music, festive cocktails, photo ops and a screen-printing station for the first 50 attendees.
Belleview Station Holiday Bazaar
Location: 6785 E. Chenango Ave.
Date: December 9 & 10, 11a.m.-5 p.m.
Enjoy over 70 craft vendors, fashion trucks, holiday-themed pop up bars, heated beer gardens, live music and street food at an outdoor marketplace in the heart of the Denver Tech Center.
General admission is free but you can RSVP for event announcements, vendor lineups, music schedules and other Shop & Sip drink tickets.
Cherry Creek Holiday Market
Location: 105 Fillmore St.
Date: Open daily through Christmas Eve
As part of the 4th annual Cherry Creek Holiday Market festivities enjoy over 300 local merchants, a pop-up holiday bar, live music and a Mistletoe Lounge.
Located north of 1st Avenue and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, the market is open daily Sunday through Wednesday, 12-7 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, 11a.m.-9 p.m.
December Delights at Four Mile Historic Park
Location: 715 S. Forest St.
Date: December 8, 9 & 15, 5-9 p.m.
Victorian holiday traditions in the Four Mile House. Entertainment provided by carolers and live music. Holiday arts and crafts, scavenger hunt in the park, sip hot chocolate and ice skating on their synthetic rink.
Tickets are $15-$18, kids 3 and under are free.
Donuts with the Grinch
Location: 4300 E. Dartmouth Ave.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 10a.m.-12 p.m.
Enjoy free donuts, giveaways, crafts and take a photo with the Grinch at Denver's Eisenhower Recreation Center. Free for all ages.
Santa Claus at Little Man Ice Cream
Location: 4411 W. Colfax Ave.
Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 16 & 23, 2-4 p.m.
As part of Little Man Ice Cream's Holiday Pop-Up Extravaganza, be sure to stop by their flagship ice cream factory for a chance to meet Santa himself.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, 16 and 23 from 2-4 p.m. stop by for photos, storytelling and caroling with Santa.
