What to do when traffic lights are not working

A few Denverite readers have asked if we might (please) inform our neighbors of the rules around what to do when traffic lights are out, perhaps due to losing power.

The rule is pretty simple: “In the case of a traffic signal outage, people should treat dark or flashing red traffic signals as four-way stops,” Department of Transportation and Infrastructure spokesperson Nancy Kuhn said.

Stop and take turns, folks.
