He left Colorado and lived elsewhere for a long while, then came back to the land of sunshine and 14ers and the city with a decent omelette to its name and occasionally title-winning sports squads. In the interim, he’s covered tornados, avalanches, heat waves, Olympic games, trials, elections, scandals, bungee-jumping, a great many human triumphs, and, once, at a state fair, a butter cow (literally a cow made of butter).
