It's been more than four months since Chipotle Mexican Grill first had to apologize for making everyone sick, and they're still not done. Like your very sorry ex, Chipotle is still trying to win you back with gifts.

This time, the burrito-slinging chain is giving you happy hours and a master sommelier.

Chipotle's Speer neighborhood location at 550 Broadway is offering two-for-one margaritas, sangrias or beers, plus free chips and salsa, from 4 to 7 p.m. daily throughout July.

The real reason for the drink deals is that Chipotle is testing out a new drink program in partnership with master sommelier Richard Betts, whose repertoire extends well beyond wine, said public relations and communications manager Chris Arnold. It's only happening at the Sixth Avenue and Broadway location, and it includes a new margarita and bubbly drinks.

Previously, the Mexican grill gave out 5 million burrito coupons via mobile devices and mailed coupons to 20 million households. At the end of April, the total number of coupons redeemed added up to more than $40 million in free burritos, the Denver Post reported.

Chipotle made another Denver-specific push for forgiveness earlier this month, when it donated 50 percent of a day's proceeds from metro Denver restaurants to the Denver Botanic Gardens.
