Denver police arrest 27-year-old man in Montbello double murder case

Denver police are investigating a 27-year-old man in a double homicide case in the Montbello neighborhood.

Angel Chavez is accused of first degree murder for the murders on the 5500 Block of Revere St. in northeast Denver. Chavez was arrested Friday afternoon, according to Denver police.

On Friday, two adults were found dead in a home on Revere St. Their names and information have not been released to the public.

Chavez was on  parole at the time of the shooting, The Denver Post reports. He was convicted in 2008 of child abuse and sentenced to 20 years.
