Colorado State football misspells Colorado on Colorado Day
The rather unfortunate error was quickly corrected.

Take a closer look. It’s toward the top in big green letters. How about now? Yes? Good.
On Monday, Colorado State football sent out scholarship offers to high school recruits. Several recruits spread the offers across social media. Twitter users quickly pointed out the “Coloradao” spelling gaffe.
Magically, most of the misspelled graphics were scrubbed from social media, with ones that spelled “Colorado” the correct way replacing them.
The mistake coincidentally fell on Colorado Day, which celebrates the day the Rocky Mountain State was admitted into the Union in 1876.
Spelling mistakes happen to everybody. It was just unfortunate that this one occurred on a graphic that touted Colorado State’s “second to none” education.
Sports blogs had their fun with the mistake, then went about their days. This was the top comment on Deadspin as of Tuesday morning:
