Sunlight shines though a summer storm. (Kevin J. Beaty/Denverite)

Thursdays, am I right?

The weather doesn’t even know what to do today. The National Weather Service is predicting a partly sunny day with a high near 90 and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Consider bringing an umbrella for shelter or maybe a towel to mop up the rain and sweat.

Oh, and this probably isn’t great news if you’re hoping to see the Perseid meteor shower tonight. The chance of stormy weather continues into the night and the NWS says it will be mostly cloudy in Denver. It’s not looking much better for the plains or the mountains, either.
