Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak told reporters Tuesday that he expects Ware participating in training camp within the next āfour or five days.ā
Ware has been sidelined with a back injury that caused him to miss five games last season and the whole 2016 offseason. The star linebacker and nine-time Pro Bowler recorded 7 ½ sacks in 11 games last year.
In the playoffs, he racked up 3 ½ more sacks as the Broncos rolled to a Super Bowl win.
āHeās real close,ā Kubiak said, according to the Denver Post. ā⦠Thatās what weāre thinking. Heās made that much progress. So hopefully next week weāre sitting here talking about him being on the field.ā
The Broncos kick off their second preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers at 7 p.m. Saturday.
