The man running the Hernandez Fernandez Clinic at 424 S. Federal Blvd. didn't have a medical license and seriously injured patients on whom he performed medical procedures, the Denver District Attorney's office said.

Carlos Hernandez Fernandez, 36, has been charged with four counts of second-degree assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, four counts of criminal impersonation, four counts of unauthorized practice as a physician and one count of child abuse.

The charges stem from Hernandez Fernandez' interactions with four victims who suffered serious bodily injury, two of whom were also victims of unlawful sexual contact, the DA's office said.

Prosecutors said Hernandez Fernandez passed himself off as a licensed physician at least since January 2015.

There may be additional victims. If you think you might be one, you can call 720-913-9000.

Hernandez Fernandez was released on $2,000 bond, and he's due back in court today.
