Expect delays on West Mississippi Avenue in Denver for a few weeks
Construction will force a detour on West Mississippi Avenue during daytime hours from Aug. 29 through Sept. 12.
The construction is happening at Mississippi and South Broadway. North-south traffic traveling on South Broadway will continue without any problems, but drivers heading east and west on Mississippi will have to change their route.
The detour for westbound drivers will be particularly long, forcing them all the way north to Alameda before they can return to Mississippi. Eastbound drivers on Mississippi will only be diverted for a couple blocks.
Really, according to Denver Public Works, you might want to find an alternate route. This is all part of the rebuilding of parts of South Broadway and Mississippi.
