Denver police still know very little about what happened on the 100 block of South Knox Court in the Barnum neighborhood early Sunday morning, but the man who was shot to death has been identified as Frank Chavez, 53.

The Office of the Medical Examiner released the name of the victim, who was found outside the home, Monday afternoon.

Denver police Commander Barb Archer said the shooting does not appear to be gang-related, but they don't know the relationship between the people who committed the murder and the people in the home. In addition to Chavez, another man was shot and he remains in critical condition.

Archer said Denver police hope to know more once they can talk to the surviving victim.

No one has been arrested in the case.
