Tim Tebow hit a home run on his first pitch as a professional baseball player

I'm sure we'll all handle this news extremely rationally.

Former Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow made his professional baseball debut for the New York Mets' instructional league team Wednesday, and he crushed a home run to left field on the first pitch he saw.

The Mets are playing the Cardinals' instructional league team in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The small crowd on hand stood and cheered for the former Heisman Trophy winner as he rounded the bases after his dinger.

Predictably, the internet had some fun in light of the news.
