Earlier this week, Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall was asked about former teammate/half-giant Brock Osweiler's return to Denver. Marshall didn't hold back in his response.
On Thursday, reporters relayed Marshall's comments back to Osweiler.
Brock's got jokes! Who knew?
Hearing him respond with a little levity is good. Osweiler has the extremely unenviable task of facing against a fearsome and motivated Denver defense on Monday Night Football. The Broncos lead the NFL with 21 sacks and 57 QB hits. The Texans, meanwhile, have surrendered the second-most QB hits with 43.
Things haven't gone great for Osweiler in Houston so far. He's completing only 59 percent of his passes. He's thrown eight touchdowns and eight interceptions and averaging 6.8 yards pet attempt. Broncos quarterbacks Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch, by comparison, are completing 64.3 percent of their passes and have tossed nine touchdowns and four interceptions.
We'll see how Osweiler fares Monday. Denver (4-2) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. at Sports Authority Field.
