The Denver Broncos added depth at tight end when they acquired A.J. Derby from the New England Patriots for a 2017 fifth-round draft pick.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news, which the team later confirmed.

New England took Derby out of Arkansas with their sixth-round pick in 2015. He hasn’t recorded a catch and has played sparingly this season.
