Bid your bittersweet farewell to 20-year-old dead-head hangout Quixote's True Blue Cafe. Tonight marks the last show before it shutters to make room for ... a new EDM club.
(Surprise!)
Dubstep production company Sub.Mission made the announcement on Facebook Monday. An electronic music club called Black Box will fill Quixote's former 13th Avenue location, beginning with a launch party Nov. 19.
On its website, Black Box is described as the "the headquarters for Colorado's underground music scene," although it will be joining the ranks of pre-existing electronic music bars and venues like Beta, Bar Standard, Milk and Vinyl.
As for Quixote's, the last ever show will feature an appropriately funky Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish cover band, Pink Talking Fish at 8:00 p.m. Monday.
