Switch issues on the A Line between 61st & Pena Station and Denver International Airport forced RTD to operate bus shuttles between the two stations until Sunday evening.

Train service will continue between Denver Union Station and 61st & Pena Station, the agency said in a rider alert. Passengers traveling from Union Station to DIA should plan on adding 15 to 25 minutes to their total travel time.

Cold temperatures seem to be making for an unpleasant trip as A line passengers are forced to wait for the shuttle service.

And 9News Anchor Vicente Arenas indicated on twitter that there wasn’t any warning of the wait ahead.

RTD estimated that repairs would last into the evening because of the temperatures. Repairs finished around 7 p.m. on Sunday.
