New Year’s Day shooting in downtown Denver injures two

Eighteenth and Larimer streets were temporarily closed while officers investigated.

A man and a 10-year-old boy were taken to the hospital Sunday with non-life threatening injuries after shots were fired near 18th and Larimer streets.

Police were on the scene of the shooting at 2:26 a.m. They described the suspects as two black men wearing dark clothing.

Eighteenth and Larimer streets were temporarily closed while officers investigated. No other details were immediately released.
