The colors of the Colorado Rapids’ new secondary kit might look a little familiar. That’s because the club is once more using Colorado’s official state flag as inspiration.
The bodies of the secondary kits are yellow, the sleeves are blue and the accents are red. The number “5280” is stitched across one of the sleeves in reference to Denver’s elevation. A small Colorado flag appears on the back of the jersey.

“The new Colorado secondary kit is the perfect balance of aesthetic and Colorado pride with the gold body, powder blue sleeves and red details,” the club wrote on its website.
The Rapids begin their season March 4 against the New England Revolution. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
